Tough MMA Warriors from across Canada will Battle in the “EXTREME MMA Canadian Championships” April 23, 2010 in the Red Robinson Show Theatre, at the Boulevard Casino. Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is the fasted growing, most intense sport in the World. The Canadian Extreme MMA Championships will be the most exciting MMA event to hit this area. Up to eight fighters per weight class division with a total of 6 weight classes, eliminating down to only one Champion per division. There will be between 20 and 30 bouts in one night. The action will be fast and furious. Elimination MMA is how the UFC started and where the greats were made. The Extreme MMA Canadian Championships will bring back the excitement of those days. This will be a first class event in a first class venue.

There are two reasons this is referred to as Extreme MMA. 1. It is an elimination format where a fighter may fight 3 times in one night to win the division. 2. When the fight goes to the ground they have 30 seconds to submit their opponent or they are brought to their feet to start striking again. This makes for incredible fast and explosive fights of extreme intensity and excitement. There have been over 200 Extreme MMA bouts over the past two years leading up to this event. Over 80 % of those bouts have ended before the bell even with the 30 second ground rule… talk about Extreme!
